![]() ![]() On the very rare occasion I can download one single song, but the problem is I'm trying to download a bunch of songs. Eventually I get the error "There was a problem downloading (song name). Whenever I try to download a new song, or heck, even play a new song, nothing happens. I have an apple music subscription, and downloads still work on my phone. ITunes for desktop won't download songs This problem has only arisen recently, but iTunes refuses to download anything new. I have no idea, but I will update this post if this solution stops working and I am back to square one. Over an hour the average download speed has decreased a bit and so it may be stabilising. I noticed that the biggest change was after making the change. But the thing is that it is working for me anyway guys. I do not have the knowledge to know why it works, or if there is a reason why I need to turn IP6 back on, and I hope someone more knowledgeable may comment. Ethernet, select proprties and uncheck the IP6 protocol. ![]() In Windows go to NETWORK AND SHARING, select your connection e.g. I do not have a Mac but I'm guessing the workaround is the same principle. It is easy to do, and easy to turn it back on. ![]() The answer is to turn off the IP6 protocol when downloading from iTunes. I have asked previously why iTunes downloads seem never to utilise the full download bandwidth but no solution worked. Just in case this helps anyone who is also having problems with iTune downloads (especially movie downloads) being slower than other downloads, check out this simple but seemingly effective 'cure', because it is currently just working for me in 2020 ! ![]()
